THE JAVITS CENTER WORKS. Our 3rd Year!
An American Craftsman presents The American Craft Show NYC & Contemporary Art Fair NYC, the culmination of over three decades influencing and energizing art and craft as well as supporting and promoting the work of some of the country's finest artists and artisans.
The American Craft Show NYC and Contemporary Art Fair NYC, unlike any other NYC art event, achieve the ambiance of a timeless festival; a multimedia event that celebrates all forms of creativity. Even the concept is distinctive: two individual shows that coexist within the same setting, one art, and the other fine crafts. This elevates the art of browsing into a true interactive adventure. Amidst the isles, you’ll discover art-in-action with special events and lectures. Fine art aficionados, perusing the aisles for an addition to their collections, are just as at ease as shoppers seeking a one-of-a-kind handcraft work of art.
The founders Richard and Joanna Rothbard have produced notable art and craft events on the east coast and in the Midwest, from the Rockefeller Center Arts Festival in Manhattan and the Berkshires Arts Festival in Great Barrington, Mass. to Florida's American Craft Sarasota, and more.
Build your client base in NYC. The city's economy is vibrant. The American Craft Show NYC & The Contemporary Art Fair NYC have already made their marks as a credible new player in the international art scene. There are collectors, interior designers, art lovers, and home decorators looking for opportunities to purchase art. There is no other show that provides an affordable venue where you can meet thousands of potential and affluent clients who live both within a few miles of our show and visit us from around the world.
Artist Selection. When my wife and partner Joanna & I select our exhibitors, we pick the most compelling, creative, gifted artists and artisans from the hundreds who apply to our shows. We look for exceptional work, execution, perspective and flair. We have nurtured and supported artists for over 30 years through our shows and galleries in NYC, the Berkshires, and Florida.
Our expertise lies in building relationships, with our clients, your customers, the media and with the city itself.
We are here to work with you. It's a great partnership.

"I'd have to say this NYC show is really off to a great start. The 2nd year was like a show from the good old days when it was worth the trip! The buyers were from all over, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I look forward to a 3rd year."

"...and once again I had multiple pieces sell. In addition, I had two gallery owners come through and offer me solo shows... This show remains one of the best values for an independent artist to show work in NYC in an art fair setting"

ARTIST TESTIMONIAL
"After having experienced a rather disappointing show with another promoter,in 2009, we were looking for a different New York City venue. I can’t speak highly enough about Richard and Joanna Rothbard, Allie and the rest of the American Art Marketing staff. They did a stellar job of seeing to our show needs, listened to our suggestions and actually acted on them. They did their homework and skillfully advertised to our Target Market. As a result the 2011 show was even better than the year before. The caliber of work was upscale, professional and reasonably priced. The turnout was impressive and what we heard from the clientele was overwhelmingly positive. Having show promoters who are artists really makes a huge difference in understanding exhibitor’s needs. They have experienced shows from our side ofthe fence - and know what we are looking for and need to make a show successful. Allowing us to hand carry our booth and supplies, shaved hours from our previous set up time. The provision of a lockup at night for a very reasonable fee – allowed us to have peace of mindabout leaving our inventory on site.If you are serious about pursuing a NYC venue, the Javits Center is the place to be and American Art Marketing is the way to go!"

"I had a successful fair. I credit the booth price, the opportunity to give a talk (marketing opportunities you provided artists) and the location in NYC. I needed the opportunity to price the art where the art collector would buy and someone (you) to bring us together. Please let me know about next year."

WHAT THE PRESS SAID
Excerpt From F.A.M.E NYC Magazine
"Contemporary Art Fair NYC offers its visitors a unique experience by combining... art with the world of craft. Like fashion and beauty, two entities that can coexist alone, but are even better when brought together, arts and crafts are symbiotic methods of creativity that seek from inspiration each other. It was extremely fascinating to see both disciplines brought together in one venue. Whether it is a purse, vase, sculpture or a brightly painted canvas, art is art."
